I may or may not have had a small dance party to this song earlier this week. I just love Kimberly’s attitude!
A Disney Sing-Along Sequel
I stumbled across this video on Pinterest and I’m so glad I did! I saw this video and then watched a bunch of his other videos, and if you like Broadway or Disney, giggling and facial expressions (and bushy eyebrows), you’ll love these.
By far, the best part of this video is at :35 seconds when he lip syncs to Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove. Love me some Yzma.
I already tend to include songs in my Friday Favorites, but this week, I listened to a lot of country, so I knew these songs would become my favorites for the week!
“Summer Nights” by Rascal Flatts
Ah, an oldie but a goodie. I always start to listen to this song as soon as the snow is gone and the decent spring weather is here (but now that I’ve shared this, it will probably snow tomorrow).
The video makes me want to dance and the song just captures the essence of summer. Perfection.
“I Want Crazy” by Hunter Hayes
This song has been stuck in my head ALL WEEK. This boy can sing (although he does sort of sound like Gary LeVox from Rascal Flatts, but I’ll let that slide). I think most everyone can relate to this song.
“Highway Don’t Care” by Tim McGraw featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban
Such a beautiful song! I love Taylor Swift’s parts, and Keith Urban’s guitar playing is ridiculously great, as usual.
“Runnin’ Out of Air” by Love and Theft
Another song that’s been stuck in my head all week! Apparently people are arguing about whether this song is “country” or not. My opinion? Who cares what genre it is, a good song is a good song.
In continuation of my coconut obsession, I’ve been guzzling this Target brand coffee like it’s my job.
There’s an apparent but not overwhelming sweet coconut flavor and scent. Due to the price (around $7, I got it for $6 on sale) this is not a must-have item, but it’s a treat now and then!
Ho Hey from Nashville
I’m also counting Nashville as a favorite, but I still can’t get over the gorgeous voices of Rayna’s daughters.
Is it bad that I’m totally jealous of them? Darn people and their amazing voices.
Titan Player (iPad app)
Wow-where has this app been all of my iPad-owning life?
Have you ever wanted to watch YouTube videos, even when you’re offline or don’t have a wireless signal? Enter Titan Player.
It’s free, and there’s also a Pro version (99 cents). You can download 25 videos with the free version.
I love this! I’m being very selective with which videos I choose, but I may eventually spring for the Pro version (I know…big spender right here).
If ever there was a song that makes me wish I was from the South (and there are many), this is my favorite.
This song came out awhile ago, but for some reason I haven’t been able to stop listening to it this week.
Take a listen and let me know what you think:
Aaaand my other Friday Favorite…Easter!
The general spirit of the season, the spring weather (HA. Well…not in New York), and the food (hello, chocolate peanut butter eggs) make this a great time of year. Happy Easter!
Ah, the show I love to hate. This is, by far, the most frustrating yet addicting show I have ever watched. In the course of all the seasons, so much yet so little has transpired.
What makes me angry:
Random characters thrown into the cast that suddenly become extremely important to the plot
Characters that are on the show constantly for a period of time and then are never mentioned again
The awkward lines and situations (too many examples to count)
The fact that these girls are always well-dressed whether they’re chasing a potential killer through the dark woods or sneaking around doing some recon
In summary, I hate how much I can’t stop watching this show.
Mumford & Sons, specifically, Babel
I received Babel for Christmas, and I haven’t stopped listening since. I really dig the variety of songs on this album.
The highlight of my week was definitely on Wednesday when Pope Francis was announced! You better believe I was constantly checking Twitter, Facebook and all of the major news for the latest updates. And, although I wasn’t in Vatican City this week, I still feel as though I witnessed history!
Not-so-favorite: The announcement that Google Reader will be shutting down
In the midst of this week’s historic events, Google announced that Google Reader, their RSS aggregator, is no more as of July 1, 2013.
I am still in the anger/shock phase. I use Google Reader every single day to keep up with blog posts and news! Now what?
If you have any suggestions for a service similar to Google Reader, please share in the comments.
